Pin & Poke Gua Sha Tool

Bring a little ritual to your skincare routine with this hand-carved Tiger’s Eye Gua Sha from London-based Pin & Poke. Created by acupuncturist Harriett, her Gua Sha is designed for facial massage, its sculpted shape glides along the contours of the face, while the serrated edge and precision tip allow for more targeted massage around the jawline, cheekbones and finer areas. Made from 100% natural Tiger’s Eye, each one has its own unique colour and veining.

Gua sha is an ancient Chinese medicine practice that has been supporting human beings for thousands of years, and somewhere along the line it took on a new role as a beautification tool. Gua sha — The literal translation of "gua sha" is "scraping tool", which can help boost skin glow and soften the signs of ageing. But what is more profound is its ability to help us peel back the layers of conditioning we have been wearing and come back to something more honest and authentic underneath.

From the maker

After working with thousands of women, I began to notice that the face is an incredible barometer of not only our physical health, but our emotional and spiritual wellbeing too…

Pin and Poke is for women who are bored of traditional beauty approaches rooted in restriction, fixing, and diminishing ourselves. Instead, we are for women who are curious, who understand that everything showing on the face is an invitation to observe ourselves on an even deeper level.

Here, we blend beauty with Chinese medicine, and a little magic along the way. This work is about reclaiming your relationship with beauty as a relationship to your personal power and freedom.

- Harriett, founder of Pin & Poke, acupuncturist, mystic.

What we love

A beautiful addition to your bathroom shelf, made from natural stone so no two pieces are exactly alike. We love that it turns a few minutes of facial massage into a proper moment of pause, and the earthy, golden character of Tiger’s Eye!
