Designed with a wider, relaxed shape, this is a playful take on the classic knitted beanie. Cosy, tactile and full of character, it brings together Millicent’s signature love of colour, texture and considered knitwear design.
Each hat is made using dead-stock yarns, giving existing materials a new life while creating something wonderfully individual. The nature of these yarns means colours are limited and each piece feels that little bit more special.

The shape! We love the silhouette of this beanie, it feels contemporary while still being incredibly easy to wear.
Millicent has such a brilliant eye for colour and texture, and these hats are a perfect example of how she turns something practical into something really special. We also love that dead-stock yarns sit at the heart of the design, making each small run unique depending on the materials available.

FROM THE MAKER
Millicent Sanders is a textile designer specialising in knit, based in Yorkshire.
After studying Textile Design at Central Saint Martins, Millicent developed her practice across machine knitting, linking, hand knitting and crochet. Her work explores colour, texture and shape, combining a playful creative approach with an extensive understanding of the technical side of knitwear.
Her process involves developing knitted fabrics, curating unexpected colour and texture combinations and creating patterns for custom and limited-edition pieces.
Dead-stock yarns feature throughout her work, allowing existing materials to become distinctive, small-batch knitwear rather than going to waste.
CARE
To keep your knitwear looking its best, gently hand wash, rinse thoroughly and air dry.
Do not tumble dry. Once dry, a gentle steam will help reshape and refresh the knit.
