From the Maker:

In 2010, a school competition asked: “How much can you fit in a matchbox?” Hayley entered on behalf of her son, filling hers with tiny conceptual creations like a grain of rice and coriander seed labelled “curry takeaway.” She didn’t win, but her friend Emma instantly saw the magic in the idea.

Three years later, inspired by Hayley’s quirky matchboxes, Emma suggested turning the concept into a business. Together they experimented, researched, and built a website. The early days were slow—just ten sales in their first week—but everything changed in October 2013 when demand suddenly skyrocketed to 500 orders a day.

From Emma’s kitchen table to becoming a household name in thoughtful, playful gifting, their brand continues to charm people with the wonder of how much joy can fit inside a tiny box.
