From the maker
Kay creates bold silhouettes that bring folklore and nostalgia into conversation with modern culture. Having lived in Stockholm for a couple of years, she continues to draw inspiration from Swedish aesthetics. Now based in Brighton, she is also inspired by the bustle of the seaside city and the old folklore tales rooted in the East Sussex countryside.
What we love
We love her rosy cheeks and wonderfully sculptural bun. She brings a bit of personality to a shelf or mantelpiece, with hand-painted details to enjoy whether you are burning incense or simply displaying her as a small ceramic sculpture.
