From The Makercer
Handcrafted in Vâlcea County, Romania, this cup is made by skilled artisans who have practised Horezu pottery since childhood. Working from their home atelier, they shape each piece on a traditional kick wheel before decorating it by hand.
Using natural pigments sourced from local minerals and clays, the decoration is applied through a traditional technique known as “jirăvirea”, using tools such as cow horns and fine wooden sticks. Each piece carries generations of knowledge, care and Romanian cultural heritage.
