From The Maker

Handcrafted in Vâlcea County, Romania, this bowl is made by artisans who have practised Horezu pottery since childhood. Working from their home atelier, each piece is shaped on a traditional kick wheel and decorated entirely by hand.

Using natural pigments made from local minerals and clays, the decoration is applied through a traditional technique known as jirăvirea, using tools such as cow horns and fine wooden sticks. Each piece carries generations of knowledge, care and Romanian cultural heritage.
