Kids Flower Dye Workshop - Make your own Flower Tote Bag.
Have you ever wondered how real flowers can be used to create colour on fabric?
In this fun, hands-on workshop, children will use fresh flowers and botanicals to design and dye their very own organic cotton tote bag to take home. Using a simple natural dyeing technique called bundle dyeing, each bag will become a one-of-a-kind piece, full of beautiful, surprising patterns created entirely with natural ingredients.
While the bags are processing, we’ll also experiment with natural flower paints, making this a playful, creative session from start to finish. A joyful way to brighten the season and explore colour, nature and creativity together.
About the tutor
The workshop is led by Tara Macdonald, an experienced gardener, natural dyer and craftsperson. Tara grows most of her dye plants in her garden in Fairlight and creates naturally dyed textiles from her studio in Rye. She regularly runs workshops for both adults and children and loves sharing the magic of natural colour.

Exchanges & cancellations
We offer exchanges where cancellation is made at least 21 days prior to the workshop date. This allows us time to cover materials and tutor costs and to refill the space.
