Step into the timeless craft of willow weaving and create something both beautiful and purposeful for your garden.
In this hands-on workshop, expert basketmaker Katie of Twinefolk will guide you through traditional basketry techniques including 3-rod waling, pairing, and finishing with a dropped border. You’ll learn how structure, tension, and rhythm come together to form a strong, sculptural piece.
Working with sustainably grown Somerset willow, you’ll weave your own elegant, eco-friendly bird feeder, designed to weather naturally and sit harmoniously within your outdoor space.
This workshop is perfect for complete beginners as well as those looking to refine their skills. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with:
- A fully finished, handcrafted willow bird feeder
- A solid foundation in traditional basketry techniques
- The confidence to continue weaving at home
