Mark the Winter Solstice with this thoughtful gift box from Burning Bright, featuring three candles inspired by the ancient traditions of Yule. Each candle is poured into a handmade ceramic pinch pot, with a woody, herbal blend of black spruce, sage and juniper, creating an earthy, aromatic fragrance for the darker months.

The set includes three different candle sizes, each topped with sage, juniper and a pinecone. Beautifully presented in a gift box with a description card, it's a lovely way to bring a little seasonal ritual into the home or give someone a thoughtful gift.

The Scent & Mood

Inspired by the Winter Solstice, when the Holly King surrenders to the Oak King in ancient pagan tradition, Midwinter celebrates the survival of life through the long, dark winter and the gradual return of the light.

Traditionally, a Yule log adorned with holly and pinecones is burned to mark the occasion, with its ashes believed to hold medicinal and magical powers. Black spruce and juniper bring a fresh, woody aroma, while sage adds a distinctive herbal note. Traditionally associated with purification, sage is thought to help clear negative energy and prepare the home for the new year.

A lovely blend to burn on the Winter Solstice or whenever you need a moment of calm and grounding.

Burning Bright candles are made with 100% natural ingredients, using eco-friendly soy wax and pure essential oils. Free from parabens, cruelty-free and fully vegan, each candle is handcrafted from start to finish in Swallowfield, Berkshire, with a focus on aromatherapy, sustainability and plant-based ingredients.

Candle Care

Remove all toppings before lighting. For the best burn, allow each candle to burn for around an hour the first time to ensure an even melt. Trim the wick to approximately 5mm before each use.
