Minnie Mae Oyster Shell Pinch Pot.
Single ceramic oyster shell pinch pot, designed to hold your favourite seasonings and bring a little seaside magic to the table.
Inspired by life in Margate, where the beach is strewn with oyster shells, some tiny, some hand-sized, all with layered ripples and pearly interiors, each piece captures that natural, tidal texture in clay.
Hand-cut freehand (no templates here), every oyster is one of a kind. Finished with a pearly mother-of-pearl sheen and real 24ct gold lustre detailing, it’s as beautiful empty as it is filled with salt, chilli flakes or herbs.
Approx. 11cm x 8cm

From the maker:
Based in the Kent seaside town of Margate, Minnie-Mae creates ceramics, printed textiles and interior pieces inspired by British coastal landscapes, London’s history, Greek mythology, Italian kitsch and the quiet poetry of everyday markets and veg stalls.
Growing up in Hackney in the late 80s and 90s, surrounded by her mother and grandmother’s seamstressing, set design and serious studio pottery habit, she developed a lifelong love of pattern, colour and craft. After studying Printed Textiles at Loughborough and years spent working in a small design studio, she eventually found her way to clay and never left.
Her work is tactile, nostalgic and joyful: objects you want to hold in your hand, rooted in memory, ritual and family stories, from podding peas at the kitchen table to walking the tide line in Margate, pockets full of shells.
