Minnie Mae Mushroom Christmas Decorations.
A little piece of winter folklore for your Christmas tree. Inspired by the iconic red-and-white Amanita muscaria, these ceramic “magic mushroom” baubles nod to the old tales that say they’re the reason Christmas is all red, white and green. Traditionally found beneath pine trees and associated with reindeer and shimmering snow-covered forests, they bring a story as well as a sparkle to your decorations.
Each mushroom is sculpted, painted and glazed entirely by hand, so no two are ever the same, more like tiny woodland treasures than mass-made ornaments.
Finished with either deep green velvet ribbon or a twisted green silk cord (stock dependent), they hang beautifully from a branch, wreath or garland.

From the maker
Based in the Kent seaside town of Margate, Minnie-Mae creates ceramics, printed textiles and interior pieces inspired by British coastal landscapes, London’s history, Greek mythology, Italian kitsch and the quiet poetry of everyday markets and veg stalls.
Growing up in Hackney in the late 80s and 90s, surrounded by her mother and grandmother’s seamstressing, set design and serious studio pottery habit, she developed a lifelong love of pattern, colour and craft. After studying Printed Textiles at Loughborough and years spent working in a small design studio, she eventually found her way to clay and never left.
Her work is tactile, nostalgic and joyful: objects you want to hold in your hand, rooted in memory, ritual and family stories, from podding peas at the kitchen table to walking the tide line in Margate, pockets full of shells.
