Kan Studio Mazu Necklace
'Mazu' or 'Matsu' is a sea goddess in Chinese folk religion, Chinese buddhism.
A sculptural everyday necklace designed to bring a subtle statement to daily dressing. Handmade by KAN Studio, the Mazu necklace is made of natural green aventurine beads, with a gold plated brass 18ct fish pendant, and a matte gold plated toggle style closing.
Inspired by fluid natural shapes, the Mazu necklace feels both timeless and modern; simple enough for everyday wear, and distinctive enough to elevate even the most minimal outfit. Each piece is handmade in small batches, giving every necklace its own slight variations and character that reflect the hand-finished process.

From the maker
KAN Studio creates small-batch jewellery and objects rooted in craftsmanship, materiality and slow production. Drawing inspiration from sculpture, natural textures and traditional metalworking techniques, their pieces are designed to feel understated, tactile and made to last.
What we love
We love the contrast between the green beads and sculptural fish pendant - it feels slightly nostalgic in the best way, like something collected on holiday and worn every day since.
