Product details

A beautifully soft and fuzzy felted lambswool buff, designed to keep you cosy through the colder months. Wear it around the neck or double it over to create a snug ear warmer.

Each piece is made using dead-stock yarns and created through Millie’s CODING project, where colour combinations are used to produce completely individual pieces of knitwear. The result is a playful, tactile accessory where no two are quite the same.

Made from 80% lambswool and 20% cotton, using 100% dead-stock materials.

17cm x 24cm

WHAT WE LOVE

We love the combination of colour, texture and practicality in Millie’s work. The felted finish is incredibly soft and cosy, while the use of dead-stock yarn means every piece has its own character.

We especially love that it can be worn in different ways — pulled up around the neck or doubled over as an ear warmer when it gets particularly chilly. A small but joyful piece of knitwear that makes winter dressing much more fun.

FROM THE MAKER

Millie is a textile designer specialising in knit, based in Yorkshire. After studying Textile Design at Central Saint Martins, she developed an extensive knowledge of machine knitting, linking, hand knitting and crochet.

Colour, texture and shape sit at the heart of her practice. Her process involves developing knitted fabrics, curating colour and texture combinations and creating patterns for custom and limited-edition knitwear.

Her CODING collection makes use of dead-stock yarns, transforming existing materials into distinctive pieces defined by unexpected colour combinations and tactile knitted textures.

CARE

For best results, gently hand wash, rinse thoroughly and air dry.

As the piece has been pre-felted, it can also be machine washed on a wool setting. Do not tumble dry. Once dry, a gentle steam will help bring the knit back to its best.
