These lightweight Himalayan hemp sun hats are tailored in Nepal using hand-spun and hand-woven fabric, giving them a timeless and rustic charm. The villagers of the Himalayan foothills harvest, ret, and spin the fibers in their traditional way, just as they have for centuries. A soft cotton lining adds extra comfort, while a metal wire in the wide-brimmed hat provides shape and durability. These fantastic sun hats can be easily packed flat, perfect for your travels and sunny vacations. Just remember not to fold the wire to ensure they last for many summers to come!
Hemp or Nettle - These are both hand spun yarns creating an uneven thread with a rustic character. Both the hemp and nettle are found in the foothills of Nepal, where harvesting, retting and hand spinning the fibres are all done by villagers.
